Pablo Robles-GarcÃa
Biography
Pablo Robles-GarcÃa is an Assistant Professor of Spanish Linguistics at the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½, Mississauga with a graduate appointment at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½).
Research interests
His research expertise is in Second Language Acquisition, Vocabulary Acquisition and Testing, Vocabulary Assessment, and Spanish Language Teaching and Learning. In 2022, Professor Robles-GarcÃa developed O-LSVLT, a software that allows teachers and research practitioners to create written meaning-recall vocabulary tests that measure knowledge of the 8,000 most frequent words in Spanish. Through this platform, students are able to track their language learning process. At the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ Mississauga, Professor Robles-GarcÃa has taught various courses on topics related to theoretical issues in second language learning and Spanish.
