I am writing to announce a call for an ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ Tier 2 CRC nominee for nomination to CRC in fall 2024. Tier 2 Chairs are for exceptional emerging researchers, acknowledged by their peers as having the potential to lead in their field. Applicants must be full-time tenure-stream Assistant or Associate Professors at ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½. The nominee’s research area must align with the  of Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).

This special call is limited to ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ faculty members who are members of visible minorities and/or Indigenous peoples (First Nations, Inuk, and Métis), as defined by the . The identification of outstanding candidates from these designated groups supports the University’s institutional capacity to fulfill the objectives of the University’s  .

The nominee will be chosen from among eligible ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ applicants by an internal selection committee chaired by Acting Associate Dean, Research, International & Innovation Michal Perlman and comprised of ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ faculty members from across ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½â€™s four departments.
