Supporting the Wellbeing of the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ Community

The wellbeing of our community is one of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education's (²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½) top priorities. We work hard to enhance our wellness programming in response to our community's diverse needs. We are committed to promoting learning and practice opportunities that contribute to individual and collective healing and change. Be sure to devote time to self-care by attending some of our wellness opportunities.

Wellness Opportunities

Mindful Teacher/Educator Lunch & Learn Series

Sessions provide current and future educators with opportunities to deepen their personal practice and learn about research, theory, and the practice of integrating mindfulness within education systems.

²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ Wellness Half Hour

The ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ Wellness Half Hour is a dedicated time slot every Wednesday from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM, where staff and faculty are encouraged to prioritize practices that enhance their personal wellness. The goal of the initiative is to provide an opportunity for the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ community to prioritize self-care, reduce stress, and restore energy.

Weekly Balance Break

Ready to step-away for a moment, from work and routines? Perhaps the body and mind are longing for some balance and relief from the busy-ness and burn-out of teaching and learning. Refresh and renew yourself, with other students on Wellness Wednesdays.

Monthly Mindfulness Community Of Practice

Monthly Mindfulness Community of Practice meetings provide teachers, educators, teacher candidates, and teacher educators with an opportunity to be a part of an ongoing community of support. You’ll be invited to cultivate and deepen a personal mindfulness practice, engage in critical inquiry and reflection, explore applications of mindfulness in education, and engage in opportunities for discussion and ongoing connection.
