SJE Ph.D. Candidate Hayley Brooks Receives U of T Award for Scholarly Achievement in the Area of Gender-Based Violence!

We are pleased to share the news that SJE Ph.D. Candidate Hayley Brooks is the recipient of the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ Award for Scholarly Achievement in the Area of Gender-Based Violence! This graduate Award was established by the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ in memory of the 14 women who died tragically at the Ecole Polytechnique on December 6, 1989. It is awarded annually to a graduate student who demonstrates scholarly excellence in research focusing on understanding, prevention, and/or intervention in the area of violence against women and girls and/or against trans and gender non-binary people.
Congratulations to Hayley on this important award! The award ceremony and special is today at the Hart House on St. George Campus at 12:30 in person and live streaming.
