Navigating Media Narratives and Cultural Frameworks: Lessons from Anti-Colonial Organizing
The Centre for Media, Culture & Education is launching a new series focused on media and cultural studies. This series offers graduate students (PhD and Master's) at ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ an opportunity to present their in progress research, engage in discussions, and receive feedback. The series will be an in-person event, supplemented with Zoom to permit virtual audience attendance as well.

Hoda Gharib (she/her)
Hoda is a PhD candidate, student success advisor, and co-founder of a research consultancy. She researches the factors that mobilize and sustain activism, aiming to empower collective action and meaningful change.
Sara Rasikh (she/her)
Sara is a student organizer and an MA student in Social Justice Education at ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½. Her research investigates the role of media portrayals in shaping participation, safety, and solidarity within social justice movements.
