Message of gratitude from the director
I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for joining us at the Centre for Black Studies in Education’s 2nd Anniversary Celebration on September 5. The way you showed up and celebrated alongside us means so much to me and the entire CBSE community. My deep thanks is captured in the video below.
While we celebrated two incredible years, the event also marked the start of a new academic year for the Centre, full of promise and new opportunities.
I invite you to stay engaged by visiting our website where you can explore the exciting activities we have planned. This PDF highlights upcoming events—I hope to see you again at one of these future gatherings.
At the celebration, I spoke about an important initiative close to my heart—supporting Black graduate students through a special CBSE fund. This fund will help graduate students make the most of their ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ journey by providing financial support for conferences, workshops, research trips to Africa or the Caribbean, and more. If this resonates with you and you'd like to explore ways to support, please reach out to me at ab.campbell@utoronto.ca. I'd love to continue the conversation.
Thank you again for your energy, support, and belief in the work we are doing at CBSE.
Much love,
Dr. ABC
